ARP At A Glance
ARP offers a unique opportunity for people to enjoy a variety of activities in a beautiful riverfront location and aspires to continue to reflect an identity that is inclusive to everyone and welcome a larger, regional community.
While the public park space is currently 10 acres, ARP recently purchased an additional 6 acres that will soon be added to the footprint. Park management emphasizes that this new property will not immediately be available to the public, as a planning process has to be completed and initial work undertaken to transform the acres into usable parkland. This momentous acquisition will open up tremendous opportunities to grow the park’s resources and expand the Three Rivers Heritage Trail and the Great Allegheny Passage!
Amenities include a fishing dock, dog park, marina, native gardens, music venue, playground, bike loop, and walking trails. The open-air pavilion and indoor event spaces, with public restrooms, host numerous classes and programming. The park regularly offers free live music events, on-going adult and children’s programs and seasonal activities, including kayaking or paddle board rentals from 3 Rivers Outdoor Co. ARP also provides the opportunity to enjoy a meal at the riverfront with local food trucks or Farmer x Baker.
ARP is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation as well as a PA State Certified Land Trust and is unaffiliated with any government entity. The park is managed by an all-volunteer board of directors with daily operations handled by a hard-working and dedicated leadership staff. The park is maintained through earned income and private fundraising, not taxpayer dollars.
