The mission of Allegheny RiverTrail Park (ARP) – formerly known as Aspinwall Riverfront Park – is to enhance the quality of life for the community by providing free public access to parkland and multi-use trails along the Allegheny River. We are committed to riverfront revitalization and inclusive community engagement through recreational, educational, cultural and social activities for a diverse population.
ARP is an independent, non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation as well as a PA State Certified Land Trust and is unaffiliated with any government entity. The park is managed by an all-volunteer board of directors with daily operations handled by a hard-working and dedicated leadership staff. The park is maintained through earned income and private fundraising, not taxpayer dollars.
