Since 2022, Trace Brewing has been a familiar face at Allegheny RiverTrail Park, bringing their signature style, community-minded spirit, and award-winning brews from their home base in Bloomfield to the riverfront in Aspinwall.

From Foundry to Foam

Housed in a historic brass-and-bronze foundry-turned-punk-venue, Trace Brewing opened its doors in 2020 and quickly became a pillar of Pittsburgh’s creative and social landscape. The brewery is more than just a place to grab a pint… it’s a nod to the city’s industrial roots and artistic future. With weekly performances, live art, and community events, Trace continues to honor its building’s past while creating space for new stories to unfold.

In that sense, they have a kindred spirit in Allegheny RiverTrail Park, a former scrap yard and marina that’s evolved into a vibrant public green space on the water. Both sites represent Pittsburgh’s knack for transformation and a shared belief that community spaces should be for everyone.

Trace Across PGH

With over 20,000 followers on Instagram and a loyal local following, Trace’s reach in Pittsburgh is undeniable. But their aim isn’t just to expand their footprint, it’s to integrate into the communities they serve. Whether it’s in Bloomfield, the Hill District, or here in Aspinwall, Trace adapts to the rhythm of each neighborhood.

At Allegheny RiverTrail Park, that means bringing family-friendly vibes, earlier hours, and inclusive programming, like their recent St. Patrick’s Day Sunday brunch complete with live Irish music and good eats for all ages.

For Trace, showing off public gems like ARP to their wider audience is part of the mission. “You just show up and enjoy,” says Aadam Soorma, Head of Marketing & Guest Experience at Trace. “No membership, no barrier, no cost; just come touch grass with us.”

Brewing Community, One Pint at a Time

At its core, Trace is about collaboration. Whether with local artists, musicians, chefs, or community organizers. “Our goal is to build community and celebrate lovely riverfront spaces in Pittsburgh,” Soorma adds. “These activations benefit locals already in the know while also introducing these public resources to new audiences.”

Parks like ARP are the ultimate “third space”—places that belong to everyone, where good beer, live music, and shared experiences bring people together. And Trace is here for all of it.

Where to Find Trace This Season

You’ll catch Trace Brewing every Friday at the docks for Food Truck Fridays, beginning May 9th. From 5–9pm, they’ll be pouring beers alongside a rotating selection of food trucks.

On Summer Concert Series Fridays, the second Friday of each month, June through September, Trace will be serving up drinks on the lawn to thousands of concert-goers enjoying live music on the Allegheny River.

Come touch grass with Trace. Grab a beer, bring a friend, and celebrate what makes Pittsburgh’s riverfront so special.
