Local thespians have donated nearly $1,600 to the Aspinwall Riverfront Park.

Stage Right Performing Arts & Education Director Bill Ivins said the group raised the money during a cabaret at its first Young Artists Summer Theater production, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown.”

The show was presented to five sellout audiences in August.

A special pre-show cabaret fundraiser featured live musical performances at the park, where the play was produced on a temporary stage at the marina.

The cast featured students from Fox Chapel Area High School, including Jeremy Platt, Alyssa Melani, Sadie Lorence, Olivia Pistella, Alyssa Fabian, Oscar Izenson and Xavier Perry. The show also featured Zachary Conte, Alyssa Brinza and Cate West.

Marjorie Trimble was the stage manager and Ben Freeman ran the sound. The backstage crew included Annamarie Hart, Dierdre Roberts, Jack Lorence and Chris Bonivita.

Stage Right is seeking people to help behind the scenes. Anyone interested should contact Ivins at contact@stagerightpgh.org.
